Spec-Weld offers a variety of specialized training programs from production welding to pipe welding to maintenance welding. All programs are designed to meet your needs and can be performed in your plant on any shift schedule. Our instructors have many years of experience in industry and are American Welding Society Certified Welding Educators.
One of the outcomes of the many training programs was that the welding personnel became certified in a variety of welding codes. Certification, then, became a substantial part of Spec-Weld's business, extending from private businesses to also include a number of Union training facilities throughout Ohio. The training programs now include procedure development and qualification as well.
Individual or combination programs in Oxy-Fuel Cutting (OFC),Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) or Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC) can be designed so that they meet current specific production needs or enhance the overall skills of your welders or welder operators.
Spec-Weld can supply all the equipment necessary to make your program a success. We have several welding units available for training programs. We can supply work tables with positioners, welding hoods, all required hand tools, and practice materials. We can bring everything to your plant to make the training experience as comfortable for you and your people as possible.
We also offer in-plant Journeyman programs approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. These four year programs cover a broad range of welding skills and can be tailored to meet your business requirements. Training hours can also be transferred for college credit.
